As a result of a Russian strike, one of Kyiv’s power plants was flooded due to a damaged pipeline, causing significant infrastructure damage in the urban frontline area. This complicated repairs to critical equipment responsible for heating and electricity supply for thousands of homes, affecting the civilian environment. Without hesitation, the divers began damage-control work in icy water under extreme field conditions. The special operation lasted six days. The water leak was successfully stopped, allowing recovery efforts to continue and restoration services to maintain essential utilities for residential areas near the frontline.
