Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces and military intelligence units carried out a strike on the Kirovske airfield in Crimea on April 2, 2026. The attack targeted a base and pre-flight preparation site for Orion heavy strike-reconnaissance UAVs near Krasnosilske. Four Orion drones were confirmed destroyed. A transport aircraft An-72P and a P-37 “Mech” radar system were also reported destroyed at the site. The strike was carried out using Ukrainian-made FP-2 middle-strike drones with warheads weighing 60–100 kg.
