Archival combat footage filmed in 2016 near Aleppo shows an assault on a Syrian military base from the perspective of fighters from Jabhat Fateh al-Sham. At one moment in the footage, a Syrian Arab Army soldier is shot at close range after apparently mistaking an opposing fighter for a fellow serviceman during the chaotic engagement.
