The enemy has long felt secure deep behind the front lines, but for the special forces of the Security Service of Ukraine’s “Alpha” unit, distance is no longer a limiting factor. Over the past year alone, five military airfields were struck by long-range drones. As a result, 15 aircraft have been rendered inoperable. Confirmed losses captured on video include: • 11 fighters and bombers: Su-30SM, Su-34, Su-27, Su-24, MiG-31 • 3 helicopters: Mi-28, Mi-26, Mi-8 • 1 transport aircraft: An-26. In addition to aircraft losses, ammunition and fuel depots at the airfields were destroyed. The total estimated damage inflicted exceeds $1 billion USD.
