This video captures the moment a Russian Shahed-136 kamikaze drone is shot down by a gunner on board a Ukrainian “anti-drone” Yak-52 over the southern sector of the front.
Light piston aircraft like the Yak-52 have already been used multiple times to hunt Russian UAVs. Since the Yak-52 has no built-in machine guns, the role of the shooter is taken on by a soldier sitting in the instructor’s seat, with the canopy open, firing directly at the drone in flight.
A low-tech platform, a high-risk mission – and one less Shahed in the sky.

According to the analytical project DeepState, Russian forces allegedly detonated a dam near Osykove in an attempt to complicate logistics toward Kostiantynivka. Floodwaters reportedly spread across the area and reached the Druzhkivka–Kostiantynivka highway, effectively turning the section into mud and making passage currently impossible. While supply routes have not been completely cut off, they have been significantly complicated. Analysts suggest the increased activity may indicate preparations for larger-scale actions in the Kostiantynivka direction. Independent confirmation of the full impact remains limited.
A Russian military truck driver shows the aftermath of an FPV drone strike that hit the rear compartment of his vehicle, where fellow servicemen were reportedly located. The footage captures the damage to the truck’s cargo area following the strike. The condition of those inside at the time has not been independently confirmed. FPV drones continue to play a significant role on the battlefield due to their speed and precision.

The compilation, recorded by an ISS camera, captures the flight paths of ballistic missiles and the operation of Ukrainian air defense systems over the capital and surrounding region. The footage shows both successful interceptions and visible impacts in Kyiv and near the Trypilska Thermal Power Plant. In the final seconds of the video, two ballistic targets are successfully intercepted.
