The humanitarian situation in occupied Oleshky has reportedly deteriorated sharply. Since April 15, the city has effectively been under blockade. Vehicles carrying gas and food reportedly hit mines — the drivers survived, but since then no one has been willing to risk entering the city.
Food and basic goods are now in extremely short supply. To buy essentials, residents are forced to travel to Skadovsk via a mined “road of death” that remains under fire. People reportedly carry other people’s bank cards and pay a fee just to withdraw cash.
Around 50 children are still believed to remain in the city.
