Elimination of two occupiers in the Pokrovsk direction

Pakistan carried out airstrikes on eastern Afghan provinces, targeting what it described as militant positions. In response, the Taliban launched a large-scale offensive along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border, with clashes reported simultaneously in six Afghan provinces. Taliban forces claim they have captured 10 Pakistani army positions and destroyed another five along the frontier. They also say they conducted retaliatory strikes on Pakistan Army bases and military centers near the Durand Line. Pakistani officials, for their part, report that around 19 Afghan Taliban fighters were killed and nine border posts were destroyed as a result of what they call Afghanistan’s “unprovoked” fire on Pakistani positions. Both sides accuse each other of supporting terrorism, and the situation on the border is clearly moving toward further escalation.

According to the analytical project DeepState, Russian forces allegedly detonated a dam near Osykove in an attempt to complicate logistics toward Kostiantynivka. Ukrainian artillery reportedly scored a precise strike on a Russian TOS-1A “Solntsepyok” heavy flamethrower system during a reload phase. The impact led to a powerful secondary detonation, likely caused by the onboard thermobaric rockets. The system was caught in a vulnerable moment while rearming, resulting in a dramatic explosion visible from a significant distance. The TOS-1A is designed to launch thermobaric munitions and is typically deployed against fortified positions.

A time-lapse published by the YouTube channel AstronautiCAST shows Russian missile strikes on Kyiv filmed from aboard the International Space Station during the night of December 26–27. The compilation, recorded by an ISS camera, captures the flight paths of ballistic missiles and the operation of Ukrainian air defense systems over the capital and surrounding region. The footage shows both successful interceptions and visible impacts in Kyiv and near the Trypilska Thermal Power Plant. In the final seconds of the video, two ballistic targets are successfully intercepted.

On the night of February 22–23, 2026, units of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces carried out successful drone strikes against Russian military targets in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In occupied Crimea, a concentration area of a missile battalion from the 15th Separate Coastal Missile Brigade of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet was struck. The unit is equipped with the Bastion coastal defense missile system. In occupied Donetsk Oblast, near the settlement of Nyzhnia Krynka, a Russian ammunition depot belonging to the “Yug” (South) grouping of forces was hit. Additionally, a logistics and materiel warehouse was struck near Velyka Novosilka. According to reports, FP-2 drones were used in the operation.

On February 22, 2026, Pakistan launched a series of high-intensity airstrikes inside Afghanistan, targeting what it described as militant infrastructure. According to reports, the strikes hit locations in Paktika, Barmal, Nangarhar, and Khugyani districts. Local Afghan sources say the operation was the largest of its kind in the area and resulted in significant casualties. Pakistani officials stated that the targets included Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Al-Qaeda, and Islamic State militants. The situation remains fluid as further details continue to emerge.

Border guard UAV operators of the “Hart” Brigade on the South-Slobozhanskyi axis destroyed an enemy ammunition depot. Aerial reconnaissance detected activity near a hangar close to the border. Strike drones flew directly into the structure and hit an enemy truck inside. A powerful explosion confirmed that the vehicle was loaded with ammunition prepared for future assault operations. The strike disrupted the enemy’s logistics and prevented the use of the stored munitions.

Artillery, FPV drones, and heavy bomber units of the 33rd and 1st Assault Regiments dismantled a Russian assault group consisting of 17 troops near the village of Dobropillia in the Huliaipole direction. The group dismounted from a single ZIL truck before being detected and engaged. Coordinated strikes prevented the unit from advancing and neutralized the threat shortly after deployment. The operation highlights effective reconnaissance and rapid fire coordination against attempted assault movements.
