The launchers are now operated by personnel of the 147th Artillery Brigade of the Air Assault Forces. According to the corps, the systems have already been used in combat operations and reportedly destroyed several Russian artillery positions shortly after being transferred to the brigade. The addition of HIMARS expands the long-range strike capabilities of the Air Assault Forces and strengthens artillery support for frontline operations.
