The Javelin missile is so sensitive it can lock onto a target even through smoke or at night, thanks to its thermal sensor. That’s why in the first months of the war, there were cases when Russian tank crews tried to hide behind smoke screens - and still got hit.

The Javelin’s infrared seeker is so sensitive that in some cases it has locked onto the heat of a helicopter’s engine - even though it was originally designed for tanks.

Our unit has provided view for destroying russian tank. It was a hard battle. The tank was damaged, but continued the fight. For infantry, a tank is the most terrible weapon.
