HIMARS UKRAINE The M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS /ˈhaɪmɑːrz/) is a light multiple rocket launcher developed in the late 1990s for the United States Army and mounted on a standard U.S. Army Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) M1140 truck frame. Counter-battery units of the 19th Rocket Brigade used HIMARS systems to strike Russian towed artillery positions in the Zaporizhzhia direction. According to reports, the strikes destroyed or damaged two 122 mm D-30 howitzers, two 152 mm Msta-B guns, and one 152 mm Giatsint-B artillery piece. The operation targeted enemy firepower supporting frontline positions.
