Ukrainian military used British heavy transport drones to deliver 1.5 tons of explosives to a bridge in the Kherson region over two months. The explosives allowed the structure to be mined and later destroyed.

A city that once moved to the rhythm of industry and everyday life has now become one of the hottest spots in the Donetsk region. Before the full-scale invasion, more than 67,000 people lived here. By the end of March 2026, only around 2,000 residents remained in the city after months of heavy strikes and destruction. Attacks have not stopped: guided bombs, artillery, and kamikaze drones continue to hit residential neighborhoods on a daily basis.

A strike reportedly hit the Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich in Novorossiysk. The vessel is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles. A drilling platform identified as “Sivash” was also reportedly damaged in the same incident.

The situation for civilians in Kherson and the surrounding region is becoming increasingly alarming. Russian forces are reportedly dropping aerial bombs on residential buildings, with footage of the strikes circulating online. The attacks target civilian infrastructure, heightening risks for local residents as the security situation continues to deteriorate.

Ukrainian forces carried out overnight strikes on two Shahed drone launch bases in Russia’s Bryansk and Kursk regions, targeting the Navlya and Khalino airfields, according to the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces. The operation also reportedly destroyed a radar from an S-400 air defense system in Feodosia, a Tor air defense system, and multiple military facilities, including command posts, logistics points, and ammunition depots.

Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces and military intelligence units carried out a strike on the Kirovske airfield in Crimea on April 2, 2026. The attack targeted a base and pre-flight preparation site for Orion heavy strike-reconnaissance UAVs near Krasnosilske. Four Orion drones were confirmed destroyed. A transport aircraft An-72P and a P-37 “Mech” radar system were also reported destroyed at the site. The strike was carried out using Ukrainian-made FP-2 middle-strike drones with warheads weighing 60–100 kg.

The Harpoon unit has released footage showing how its operators use a drone equipped with a homemade shotgun to shoot down enemy UAVs. The video highlights an improvised but effective approach to aerial defense, as Ukrainian drone teams continue adapting their tactics to counter enemy reconnaissance and attack drones in real time.

The “Apachi” UAV unit of the 81st Airmobile Brigade reported repelling the most massive enemy motorcycle assault of the year. On March 31, Russian forces deployed 16 motorcycles carrying up to 48 infantry, with 2–3 assault troops on each bike. The assault groups moved in formations of 3–4 vehicles from the area of Siversk. A significant portion of the attacking personnel was eliminated on approach to Ukrainian positions. Those who managed to break through were later neutralized by airborne troops and adjacent units.

This footage captures an intense attempt by a Ukrainian interceptor operator to bring down a Russian Molniya-2 drone. Gunfire can be seen coming from the ground as troops try to hit the target, while another Ukrainian FPV interceptor also makes a pass but narrowly misses. What follows is a real aerial duel: the Russian drone keeps maneuvering to avoid being taken down, while the Ukrainian operator has to stay locked in, react instantly, and catch the target at exactly the right moment. A tense example of how fast and demanding drone interception has become on today’s battlefield.

Drones from the 225th Separate Assault Regiment freed two Ukrainian prisoners captured by Russian forces. Using only FPV drones and without infantry involvement, operators struck the escorting soldier. As the first drone approached, the captor panicked and failed to use the prisoners as cover, making a fatal decision. The operation was carried out in coordination with the 108th Brigade and other Ukrainian Defense Forces units.
