Enemy FPV drones lie in ambush while operators watch road movement. As soon as a target appears in view, the operator lifts the drone — and then it’s very hard to evade.
Such a drone can wait a long time, because it uses almost no battery while on the ground. And even if the main battery runs out, the detonator has a separate one — the drone then becomes a mine: touch it and it will explode.
Our air-defence troops must monitor not only the sky but also patrol logistics routes, neutralizing these surprises with small arms.
Ukraine war combat footage
Black Raven keeps up the pace of strikes achieved last month.
In the video from recent days: destroyed ammunition and fuel depots, artillery systems, vehicles and motorcycles, a tank, and the usual disposal of Russian soldiers brought onto Ukrainian soil by the occupiers.
An FPV strike triggered an earthquake.
Fighters of the Asgard FPV unit, 412th Nemesis Regiment, destroyed over 300 TM-62 anti-tank mines with a single drone.
About 2.5 tons of explosives generate devastating power within a 30–50 m radius and create a lethal anti-personnel zone out to 100–150 m.
Such an explosion produces the effect of a light earthquake with a magnitude of up to 2.5 - comparable to a powerful airstrike.
This time we get to enjoy the work of the “Smilies” - pilots of the 1st Battalion, 63rd Brigade. Previously, they carried out strikes with drops, but recently they switched to FPVs and are showing excellent effectiveness.
In the Lyman direction, fighters of the 66th Mechanized Brigade detected and destroyed enemy groups that were attempting to infiltrate and bypass Ukrainian positions.
