On the night of February 22–23, 2026, units of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces carried out successful drone strikes against Russian military targets in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In occupied Crimea, a concentration area of a missile battalion from the 15th Separate Coastal Missile Brigade of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet was struck. The unit is equipped with the Bastion coastal defense missile system. In occupied Donetsk Oblast, near the settlement of Nyzhnia Krynka, a Russian ammunition depot belonging to the “Yug” (South) grouping of forces was hit. Additionally, a logistics and materiel warehouse was struck near Velyka Novosilka. According to reports, FP-2 drones were used in the operation.
A Russian soldier was killed by the jet stream of an FPV munition, despite being more than ten meters away from the point of impact. The explosive force and directed blast effect proved lethal even at a distance, underscoring the destructive power and precision of FPV strike systems on the battlefield.
Border guard UAV operators of the “Hart” Brigade on the South-Slobozhanskyi axis destroyed an enemy ammunition depot. Aerial reconnaissance detected activity near a hangar close to the border. Strike drones flew directly into the structure and hit an enemy truck inside. A powerful explosion confirmed that the vehicle was loaded with ammunition prepared for future assault operations. The strike disrupted the enemy’s logistics and prevented the use of the stored munitions.
Artillery, FPV drones, and heavy bomber units of the 33rd and 1st Assault Regiments dismantled a Russian assault group consisting of 17 troops near the village of Dobropillia in the Huliaipole direction. The group dismounted from a single ZIL truck before being detected and engaged. Coordinated strikes prevented the unit from advancing and neutralized the threat shortly after deployment. The operation highlights effective reconnaissance and rapid fire coordination against attempted assault movements.
Special forces of the SBU Special Operations Center “Alpha” continue targeting the enemy beyond the frontline, carrying out a series of precision night strikes against key elements of Russian military infrastructure in the rear, including 4 headquarters and command posts, 3 personnel deployment sites (including Russian FSB special forces units), 1 UAV production facility, 2 fuel and lubricant depots, 2 UAV launch positions, 1 ammunition warehouse, 1 logistics hub, 4 command and observation posts, and other military facilities; striking these targets significantly complicates the enemy’s command and control, logistics, and preparation for future offensives, while the night operation was conducted using “FP-2” unmanned aerial systems produced by Fire Point and equipped with 105 kg warheads, ensuring high operational effectiveness.
An operator of the 411th SBS Regiment “Hawks” engaged in close combat on the Huliaipole axis using an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) equipped with a 12.7 mm M2 Browning machine gun. During the engagement, the operator used the remotely controlled system to confront and eliminate a Russian infantryman at close range. The episode highlights the growing role of unmanned ground platforms in frontline combat operations.
Artillery, heavy bombers, and FPV drones of the 225th Assault Regiment targeted and eliminated a Russian group moving through a tree line east of Varvarivka in the Huliaipole direction. Thanks to layered aerial reconnaissance, the Russian unit was detected and engaged long before it could approach Ukrainian infantry positions. Coordinated surveillance and firepower prevented the group from reaching its objective.
Footage captures the moment a Russian BK-16 landing craft near Crimea was struck by a drone operated by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR), special unit “Prymari” (“Ghosts”). In the same operation, a Pantsir-S1 air defense missile-gun system and a Nebo-U radar system were also hit. The strike highlights the continued use of precision drone operations targeting Russian military assets in occupied territories and surrounding waters.
Operators of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces carried out middle-strike attacks on a number of enemy targets located in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. On February 11, near the settlement of Rozivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, operators of the “Kairos” unit of the 414th Separate Brigade “Magyar’s Birds” struck an ammunition depot. On February 12, operators of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces conducted additional middle-strike operations, hitting several facilities: the “Kirova” electrical substation in occupied Luhansk; the Hvardiiske military airfield in Russian-occupied Crimea; a data center in Prymorsk.
In the southeastern part of Pokrovsk, near a garage cooperative area, Russian forces once again attempted to concentrate equipment and personnel. Once again, the 147th Artillery Brigade struck and dispersed the enemy grouping, preventing further buildup.
