This is archived footage from a special operation conducted in late October 2025 on the Pokrovsk axis by fighters of the Black Winter Group, part of Tymur’s Special Unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR). During the mission, several special forces groups were airlifted by Black Hawk helicopters and landed on the western outskirts of Pokrovsk, dispersing across the industrial zone. “We managed to gain precious time so that the main units of the Armed Forces could approach the city with reinforcements. After that, everyone stopped saying the city had been taken,” said HUR Chief Kyrylo Budanov, commenting on the operation.

Under extremt korta tidsförhållanden har instruktörerna gett sitt allt för att få de ukrainska soldaterna till den nivå som krävs för att de ska kunna återvända med nya förmågor till sitt hemland. För många av de svenska instruktörerna är det här något av det största de varit med och bidragit till. De har nu skiljts åt, utbildningen är klar och ukrainarna har återvänt hem för att otröttligt fortsätta kämpa för sitt land, sina familjer och för hela Europas frihet.
