My City Destroyed : War brings death, pain, destru - The Chronicles

This is what Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast looks like now. The city is devastated by bombs, enemy drones constantly hover overhead. In once cozy courtyards, there are multi-meter craters, chests of stones, and funeral crosses.

Dec 25 2023 Kremlin TV is today broadcasting footage showing the ruins of Maryinka, the latest Ukrainian town reduced to rubble by Putin’s invasion. How many more peaceful cities must be destroyed before the West finally gives Ukraine the weapons to defend itself?

During their full-scale invasion, russia has destroyed at least 210,000 buildings in Ukraine. These estimates were published by NewYorkTimes. Mariupol suffered the most damage. Kharkiv, Mariinka, Rubizhne, Bakhmut, Irpin, Zaporizhzhia, Orikhiv, Kherson, Nova Kakhovka, Oleshky, Reni and Izmail ports are also completely or significantly ruined by russian troops. 💔 This is Toretsk, another completely destroyed city in the Donetsk region. ❗️Before the full-scale invasion, almost 31 thousand people lived here, and now Toretsk is a dead ghost town.

In Kyiv during the war more than 200 residential buildings were damaged, 46 schools, 30 kindergartens and more than 70 urban infrastructure facilities were destroyed.

You’ve probably stopped talking about Chernihiv Ukraine, haven’t you. But this is a reminder that the city, which is listed as the oldest city in Ukraine, is almost completely destroyed because of Russia’s attempt to “liberate” it.
