Overnight attacks across Ukraine involved more than 600 drones and nearly 80 missiles, according to monitoring groups. The strikes caused casualties and damage in multiple regions. In Kyiv, at least 6 people were killed and 58 injured. Dnipro reported 6 killed and 33 injured, while Kharkiv recorded 14 wounded. Additional injuries were reported in Zaporizhzhia. Residential buildings were hit in Sumy, and a private home caught fire in Chernihiv after a drone strike. Damaged sites also included a clinic, fire station, businesses, gas stations, and other civilian infrastructure.

A time-lapse published by the YouTube channel AstronautiCAST shows Russian missile strikes on Kyiv filmed from aboard the International Space Station during the night of December 26–27. The compilation, recorded by an ISS camera, captures the flight paths of ballistic missiles and the operation of Ukrainian air defense systems over the capital and surrounding region. The footage shows both successful interceptions and visible impacts in Kyiv and near the Trypilska Thermal Power Plant. In the final seconds of the video, two ballistic targets are successfully intercepted.

Kharkiv, Mariinka, Rubizhne, Bakhmut, Irpin, Zaporizhzhia, Orikhiv, Kherson, Nova Kakhovka, Oleshky, Reni and Izmail ports are also completely or significantly ruined by russian troops. In Kyiv during the war more than 200 residential buildings were damaged, 46 schools, 30 kindergartens and more than 70 urban infrastructure facilities were destroyed.
